Born in Toronto, Ontario, James moved to Chicago where he studied filmmaking. He then began his editorial career at Whitehouse Post and grew through the ranks to become an editor in 2016. As an assistant he took home the Grand Prize in Camp Kuleshov. He directed and edited Cats in Tanks, a viral hit that has reached over 2 million views. His clients include Nike, Google, Jeep, Toyota, GE, Adidas and Pandora. The campaign he edited for Truth.com to take on the Opioids crisis received an Emmy award.

James now resides in Venice, California and is represented by the Whitehouse Post Productions.
